I love creating these black and white doodles.
The plants have a bit of a Dr Seuss feel...they remind me of the stripey tree trunks in The Lorax!

Mandala art. Port Victoria, South Australia for a day of family fun and fishing...and a stunning sunset. Leafy Stirling, South Australia. Nice and quiet on New Years Day, wining and dining at Tranquillo. What else....I had my first music practice for the year this afternoon....we played Moondance by Van Morrison, it's such a great track and really fun to sing. I also have a new-look webpage and blog to share some of my favourite things; art, photography and music! It needs a little more tweaking but I am liking the fresh new look. x Welcome 2016. I am ready for you. More than ready :-) Here are a couple of goals/plans I have made for the new year. Art: I have a commissioned piece to work on when the kids head off to school. I will continue with my birthday card designs and I also have plans for a large piece for my lounge room. Photography: My Christmas special went really well. I ended up doing 3 family shoots and some portrait shots too. I have two sessions booked for the new year, both a little creative, so I'll keep you updated. Singing: First, a little reflection on 2015. I performed at the Kernewek Lowender (Cornish Festival in Wallaroo), 'The Sound of Music' 50 year anniversary tribute concert for the Kadina Music Club and I also provided live music for the Yorke Peninsula Fashion and Career Expo in Kadina, all with Jennifer Cowley and Julie Ayles. My final gig for the year was my second year performing at Christmas in Kadina, this time with Jennifer Cowley on cello and vocals and John D'Antonio on guitar. It was a good performance, I was really happy with it, Silver Bells was particularly lovely. The final photo was taken from behind the stage so it doesn't show the audience of a couple of hundred people :-)
Goals for my singing in 2016? I would like to do a pub gig, perhaps a relaxed Sunday session in a beer garden, performing songs by Australian artists like Kasey Chambers, Missy Higgins, Crowded House, Powderfinger etc. We will see! So, that's my little wrap up and plans for the new year. Thanks for reading, whoever you are, I appreciate you! Wishing you a love filled, creative and fulfilling 2016. |
