Both my kids play soccer and apparently, even at 5 years old, you neeeeeeed soccer boots to play at your full potential. And now, despite initial suspicion, I am a not-so-quiet convert... I love my new (to me!) soccer boots :-)

Would something like this help you and your family in the morning?
They are easy to make and personalise with help from the kids. The visual clues are good for the littlies and the bigger kids can read their prompts. My children have some 'screen time' in the morning once they are ready but of course that is up to you. I like it because it gives me a good 20 minutes or so of uninterrupted time to get organised myself My daughter at kindy used to like ticking the prompts off one by one when we first starting using lists but we have just created this new one and no longer need the ticks. I make the kids lunches the night before so they are just in the fridge ready for them to grab. I'm not sure when I'll teach the kids to make their own lunches....not just yet anyway. Have a great day xo Home improvements and a busy family life does not a blogger/artist make! Living with tools and house paint pots all over my kitchen benches and dining table is not my ideal environment for creativity. Or sanity. Moving furniture from room to room is chaotic at times and I do not flourish under such conditions. :-) My catch cry of the last few weeks has been "I CAN"T FIND ANYTHING!" A slight exaggeration but the sentiment is true. On the up side, our house is looking lovely. We don't have a huge house but the high ceilings make it feel so spacious; the fresh white paint just delightful. Another positive? I still have my camera in my hand a lot of the time. Yes, I know, I am old school. I use a pocket camera because I purposely don't have facebook/email on my phone. So....just a few pictures to share today. Hopefully I'll be back into the swing of things soon. xx Schnitzels in love. Ha Bright winter Gladiolas. My beautiful mothers day flowers. These are some gorgeous vintage pyrex ramekins that I have listed for sale, circa 1970. No interest as yet which doesn't bother me...they are just too cute. Perhaps I can find a place to display them somewhere after all. ;-) I hope all is well in your world.
May you choose to see the good even in the challenging. xx Grief. Longing. Sadness. She knocks quietly this time. "Feel me", she whispers. "Let me in". I consider her request. I know how exhausting a visit can be. I also know she won't stay forever, And I fondly remember the peace when she leaves. I decide to open my door. Gently. Slowly. "Stay awhile" I concede. "Stay as long as you need." |
